The famous author of the massively successful “Harry Potter” series has long denied any plans to write a prequel for the franchise, but has now revealed that she will be writing a whole new series of books set around Harry Potter’s father, James Potter.
Rowling said this was something she had been considering for a long time and that she was “thrilled” to finally begin the writing process.
“I struggled with this for a long time. I always felt that, if I were to write a “Harry Potter” prequel, it would be exploiting my readers, which is why I’ve denied the possibility of a prequel so vehemently in the past.”
Rowling seems to be done struggling though as she has revealed that the series will consist of all of four books.
“It will start with James Potter’s fifth year at Hogwarts and follow him, Lily and the rest of the Marauders to their death,” says Rowling.
The first book in the series is expecting publication in early 2015.
Sirius, James and Peter celebrating their first successful animagus transformation. Taken by a pleasantly surprised Severus Snape circa 1975.
The Marauders, on their way to Butlins.
Taken by Albus Dumbledore with a totes legit wizard camera circa 1978.
Nah, not really :) Just submit whatever you want and then I’ll publish it, IDC.
Thank you, you’re very sweet :)
